It is indeed a great shot! The framing is good, the angle makes me think I'm right there near the water. I really like the silky texture of the water and the overall moody feel of the picture. The only bad thing I see is the white watermark. It's perfectly ok to have one, but try to make the writing more transparent (you can do this in Gimp, I think) and try to place it so that it doesn't take attention away from the gorgeous photo (here, I'd have put it in the top right corner).
Thank you so much, your words are really kind Yeah I know what you are saying with the watermark, [link] Do you think this water mark looks better? I have gimp and have been mucking around trying to get one that suits.
you mean this is a real picture?? my god..it's so beautiful..when i first saw it i thought that it is made in photoshop because it was way too beautiful i like so much how the water looks when it falls down..it almost looks like a mist
Thanks dude! I am still figuring out what to do with that sort of thing, yeah it looks much better without it but I don't want my work being stolen :s How do you handle that sort of thing? Also you gallery is amazing!
Well if you don't want it stolen better not upload it. Everyone could easily photoshop this caption away! A small upload helps prevent people from stealing it. Like 800px wide is ok. No one can do anything with that... Except uploading it their own gallery but if they do that, that's just sad!
But the best solution is to design a better logo/caption. Use another font! Look at Andy Mumfords old pieces for inspiration. Or Lars van de Goor. Look them up on dA!
Thanks for that. Their pictures are amazing! Can see what you mean! I have made a newer one (it is better then what I had before but not as good as that). Yeah I only upload in around 900 and turn off the download option. People can still copy it but it feels a little safer that way.
Yeah I know, I do it too. Download option off and 800px wide. People can't use it for designwork/print work, but they would be able to promote theirselves with it... but still, who does that? It's illegal anyway so if you come to know of it you can contact them!
