A Perfect Disguise. by Ryanp3 A Perfect Disguise. by Ryanp3
Sedona, Arizona.

Not even the freezing temperatures and the loss of feeling in my hands could dissuade me from taking these shots.

I think it is one of my best shots to date.
Feedback and Criticism welcome :)

Critique would be excellent!

Love the foam, looks done with airbrush : -D

Also the detail in the rocks without being too sharp or focused, you probably have a nice camera.

I have a Nikon D7000. It is good for what I need and my current skill. I won't need anything better for a while!

It is indeed a great shot! The framing is good, the angle makes me think I'm right there near the water. I really like the silky texture of the water and the overall moody feel of the picture. The only bad thing I see is the white watermark. It's perfectly ok to have one, but try to make the writing more transparent (you can do this in Gimp, I think) and try to place it so that it doesn't take attention away from the gorgeous photo (here, I'd have put it in the top right corner).

Thank you so much, your words are really kind :D Yeah I know what you are saying with the watermark, [link] Do you think this water mark looks better? I have gimp and have been mucking around trying to get one that suits.

It looks less noticeable than the other and I like the font. The trick with watermarks is to try to stop theft, without making the writing a part of your picture :)

Love it :)
Only critique I have (since you're asking) is the horrible caption in the bottom left. The typography is not meant for destroying such a nice photograph!

Thanks dude! I am still figuring out what to do with that sort of thing, yeah it looks much better without it but I don't want my work being stolen :s How do you handle that sort of thing? Also you gallery is amazing!
